Our surface water monitoring program monitors watersheds throughout region for pesticides, nutrients, metals and other water quality parameters
The Coalition has 40 trend monitoring wells throughout San Joaquin County that are sampled yearly to determine the nitrate levels in the groundwater.
The Coalition collects cropping and management practices data from the farmers in the region, analysis that information to determine if grower are in regulatory compliance. The Coalition also determines the types of management practices that improve water quality.
The Coalition holds grower meetings and conducts outreach to growers to inform them of best management practices that are protective of water quality for both surface water and groundwater
